How to store cream

How to store cream?

I love cream, add it to my coffee in the morning, and use it in recipes. Cream has one drawback: it spoils quickly (we are talking about a natural product). How do I solve this problem.

After whipping the cream, take a tablespoon, scoop up the cream and place it on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. You should end up with snowballs like this. Next, I put all this beauty on a baking sheet in the freezer. You need to place them evenly in the freezer (otherwise they will move off the paper). After they are frozen, I take out the already solid cream and transfer it from the baking tray into a bag. I put the packet of cream back in the freezer until better times. The result is such hard “zifirki” that can be used for a long time. For example, you can take out the creamy thing and throw it into your coffee.

Product selection

You need to choose the right cream so that it really pleases you with its taste. They can be purchased at the market, but in this case you will have to consume them within 24 hours. Store only in a cool place.

Pasteurized cream can remain suitable for consumption for up to 4 days. Sterilized ones lose their beneficial properties, but they can be preserved for up to six months.

  • The color is white, slightly creamy.
  • The taste is sweetish and pleasant. A bitter taste indicates that the product has already deteriorated.
  • The consistency must be uniform, without fat lumps.

It is important to buy a product that does not contain chemical additives. In this case, you will be able to get the maximum amount of benefit for the body.

Whipped cream has a subtle and refined taste that many people enjoy. The product can be used to decorate dishes and also served with fruit. It is important to remember how long whipped warblers typically last in the refrigerator. You need to use them on time so that they do not spoil.

Help. I'm waiting for a guest. How to make liqueur at home?

Homemade coffee liqueurs dominate among homemade spirits. They are prepared by infusing vodka or alcohol with coffee.

Vodka and alcohol are of the highest quality possible. To obtain liqueurs and ratafia, you need to add sugar syrup. The proportions of sugar and water are usually indicated in recipes, but the general rules for preparing syrup, unless specifically stated, are as follows: sugar must be finely crushed, water must be boiled. When cooking syrup, you need to constantly remove the foam until it stops appearing. After this, the syrup must be poured into a suitable container and allowed to settle.

If the syrup turns out to be too thick, it must be diluted with water and boiled again. It should be noted that in the production of coffee liqueurs, vanilla is often used, which adds additional aroma to the liqueurs.

Homemade liqueurs, including coffee ones, can be prepared at any strength, depending on taste. Although homemade coffee liqueurs are not as thick as factory-made ones, they taste good, and you can add molasses to make them thick enough.

But the homemade liqueur is ready. The usual amount used for a mug of hot black coffee is 30g. A tablespoon of whipped cream is usually placed on top of the coffee.

Homemade coffee liqueurs are stored in tightly sealed bottles for quite a long time. They do not lose their taste or aroma for several years.

For 10 - 12 servings: vodka - 2 bottles natural coffee - 50 g sugar - 250 g water - 1 glass lemon juice - optional (25 g)

Pour ground coffee into a glass of water and bring to a boil. Keep the broth for a day in a tightly closed container. Strain, add vodka, add sugar and heat until the sugar dissolves. If desired, you can add 25 g of lemon juice. Then filter the liquor through cheesecloth. Store in bottles for several days until it becomes more aromatic.

For 10 - 12 servings: ground coffee - 60 g water - 750 ml sugar - 500 g vanillin - 1 sachet alcohol - 500 ml

Boil coffee in 500 ml of water for 10-15 minutes. Prepare syrup in a separate bowl (cook 500 g of sugar in 250 ml of water for 10 minutes). Add vanillin to the syrup and cool, then pour in coffee extract and alcohol (or vodka), mix well, strain through a strainer and bottle.

For 20 servings: coffee - 410 g alcohol - 4 bottles sugar - 1640 g water - 1.5 bottles orange peel of two oranges

Take coffee beans and lightly roast them, grind them while still warm, pour in alcohol, adding finely chopped peel of two oranges. Let the mixture brew for a month. Then sweeten it with sugar diluted in water.

For 10 servings: coffee - 100 ml vodka - 1 l sugar - 200 g

Brew very strong black coffee, pour it without grounds into the pan. Add sugar and melt the mixture in a water bath, then add vodka and filter.

Coffee liqueur with vanilla:

For 12 servings: alcohol - 500 ml vanilla - 5 g coffee - 100 g sugar - 1 kg water - 1 l

If you can make liqueur from peach, then perhaps its relative, apricot, would also be suitable for making homemade liqueur? Absolutely right! To make apricot liqueur, we will need:

fresh apricots alcohol - 1.5 l sugar - 500 g water - 500 ml

Wash ripe fresh apricots, peel them, remove the pits (just don’t throw them away) and mash them into a puree. We rub the puree through a sieve. The number of apricots must be calculated so that they yield a kilogram of puree.

Grind half the seeds thoroughly in a mortar. Place the puree and crushed seeds in a wide-necked bottle, fill the resulting mass with alcohol and place in a warm place for 2-3 weeks.

Shelf life of dessert in the refrigerator

Products with whipped sour cream or cream have the shortest shelf life - only 6 hours. Cakes with candied fruits, poppy seeds, yogurt filling or sweet cream cheese cream can be stored for up to 36 hours. If whipped cream of vegetable origin was used in the cream of the confectionery product, then it can be stored in the refrigerator for 5 days.

You can find out the expiration date and storage conditions of a product such as sugar in our separate article.

To extend the “life” of cakes, manufacturers add preservatives to the cream. Such products can be stored in the refrigerator compartment for more than a month.

How to store cream

If after milking the milk is placed in the cellar or in the refrigerator, then in the morning a layer of cream will appear on the surface of the milk - a thicker consistency containing a lot of fat. Both at home and in industrial conditions, separator centrifuges are used to obtain cream, which separate the cream from the milk. Cream contains about 35% fat separated from milk, a lot of vitamins - A, C, B1, B2, PP, macro and microelements, phosphorus, zinc, magnesium, iron, which are perfectly absorbed by the body, since the presence of vitamin D contributes to the most complete their assimilation. In terms of calorie content, cream can range from 120 to 330 cal, depending on the fat content of the milk. Depending on the production method, cream can be made from whole milk or reconstituted from dry milk mixtures.
