Rowan amulet to protect people and homes - we make it ourselves

Ancestors attached special importance to the rowan tree due to the late ripening of the berries. Winter was considered a period of dominance of evil forces, and the red fruits ripening at this time are a symbol of opposition to death and evil. The amulet is made from berries, branches and leaves of the rowan tree. When the plant begins to bloom and ripen, new amulets are made, while the old ones are buried in the ground.

Magic properties

It is recommended to plant rowan on a personal plot: a talisman made from it not only provides protection from a force hostile to a person, but actively neutralizes it. Having appeared in the house, it begins to absorb the surrounding atmosphere and energy. Then, having imbued with information about people, he gradually helps them, restoring their health and removing negative energy.

Rowan shares a lot of power with a person, which is difficult to master right away. It is advisable that at first the amulet should be with him for no more than 10 minutes. This time can be gradually increased to one hour. The main effect of the amulet is protection. Protects from the evil eye, damage, reflects witchcraft attacks, and wards off ill-wishers. First of all, the effect applies to women.

Rowan berries in magic

Numerous ancient legends tell that rowan berries have magical properties. They can be strung on a red thread to make a garland of amulet, which should be hung above the door to prevent evil spirits from entering the house. Rowan wood can be used to make talismans, and from leaves, crushed dried fruits and bark you can get a mixture for fumigating a room. It is believed to provide protection against magical attack.

Berries woven into a necklace provide protection from the evil eye. They counteract any magic directed at the owner of the talisman, protect a person from harmful influences, and can even endow their owner with magical abilities. Since the rowan is a plant associated with the magical kingdom of Alfheim, a necklace made from its berries helps its owner focus on the energies of the higher spheres.

Even if you do not believe in the magical power of the rowan talisman, it can be used as decoration. Rowan berries will retain their attractive shape and color if you store the necklace in a dry place.

DIY rowan amulet

An important condition for the success of the business is the choice of a suitable tree. It should be a plant with a lot of berries, healthy, free from other people's ribbons, scarves and other objects. You need to carefully collect leaves and fruits, taking only what is necessary. At the same time, it is important to feel gratitude and constantly think about your positive goals.

Universal

It looks like a decoration made from berries picked during the full moon. They are strung on a strong red thread. This is done with a burning candle, repeating the protective spell 12 times: “When birds fly away for the winter, they take adversity with them. Red rowan continues to protect me from evil (name). Let it be so".

The number of plant elements for the amulet must be odd.

The made amulet is used for a year. After this, you need to bury it, saying: “Thank you. Goodbye". A new one is being prepared for the next full moon.

Rowan beads

A beautiful jewelry-amulet, for the manufacture of which you need:

  1. Choose the time of the full moon.
  2. Pick an odd number of berries on a moonlit night.
  3. By the light of a lit candle, string them onto a red linen thread.
  4. Secure the necklace with three knots.
  5. Blow on the beads, saying 12 times: “Birds fly away for the winter, taking grief and misfortune with them, but the fire ash protects me (state your name) from evil and misfortune. Key. Language. Lock".

Bracelets are made using the same principle.

Rowan cross for home

The amulet consists of two branches of equal length tightly tied with a cross, for which only a red thread is used. After tying, the prayer “Our Father” is read and the wax of a blessed candle is dripped into the center of the cross. Then the amulet is lowered into holy water three times and carried over the fire.

The talisman can be placed under the bed, keeping it there for no longer than three weeks. It will also protect against otherworldly hostile forces if hung somewhere in the house.

For children

Since ancient times, parents have made amulets for their children:

  • they knitted small crosses from rowan twigs that were hung near the child’s bed or stroller;
  • branches were left under the children's bed, periodically renewing them;
  • dried fruits were placed in a bag and placed under the pillow;
  • for girls they made beads and dolls with hands from rowan twigs;
  • In the baby’s room, a bouquet of young leaves was placed in a vase.

For mutual understanding

Such a talisman cleanses the home’s energy and neutralizes possible damage, the evil eye or a curse placed on the house.

Done during the waning moon. This ensures a reduction in quarrels and negative emotions.

Having collected the required number of red berries, you need to make beads out of them using a thread and a needle. At the same time, it is important to maintain a good mood, feel inspired and believe in the obligatory help from the amulet.

After making the beads, hang them in a room where the whole family periodically gathers. This cleanses the house and fills it with emotional warmth and strength that resists any harmful influence. The result is improved relationships between household members.

From diseases

The amulet is made by a loved one. Preferably on the sick person’s name day. Necessary:

  1. Make a cross from two rowan sticks, knitting with red wool thread.
  2. At the same time say:
  3. Then place the amulet under the bed for three weeks.
  4. After this time, bury it in the yard, next to the road.

For a long time, healers often worked under the crown of rowan trees. The patient had to press his palms to the trunk, and the healer, holding his hands on his shoulders, read conspiracies to cleanse him of damage, the evil eye, and ailments.

From enemies and envious people

Place a bouquet of rowan branches on your desktop. The bush, having accepted the sent negative, will send it back. The abuser will immediately begin to show signs of discomfort. A small bunch of berries attached to clothing also works. For this purpose, you can leave beads or a bracelet in an open place.

Motanka doll

Process of creation:

  1. A whole piece of fabric is prepared from old clothes.
  2. Tearing the material with your hands, preferably in one movement, make fragments for the body and ribbons to tighten the doll’s figure.
  3. Having assembled the motanka, make it voluminous clothes, a headdress with the symbols of the 4 elements.
  4. Decorate clothes with rowan fruits.
  5. Place the amulet above the entrance or in a place where the family usually gathers.

The face is not drawn on the doll.

We make ethnobeads from rowan branches

I present to the attention of handicrafts a small master class with a step-by-step process for making wooden ethnobeads from branches of the mountain ash (Sorbus aucuparia) in the form of a tablet.:) In order to import substitution, if we want exclusive products made from natural materials, we do it ourselves, no one will do it for us, since this work is extremely unprofitable.:) However, decorations without such a natural product are like a loaf without raisins, or maybe vice versa - raisins without a loaf

Pine, thuja, cypress, and juniper wood are also good for this technique. Willow is not suitable at all - for willow you need a band table saw. I haven’t had time to try other wood yet.

The photo shows boiled rowan and thuja sprigs. During the cooking process, air escapes from the wood - the branches should sink. Dry branches are boiled for 3-4 hours; fresh branches do not need to be cooked for that long. I had very dry twigs that had lain indoors for several years. How long you need to cook freshly cut branches is the work of an experiment. The bark is easily separated from well-cooked branches; you can help your hands a little with the blunt side of a knife.

So, we removed the bark from the branches and cut them into stumps of the required size with pruning shears. The pruning shears should not leave stings on the wood. During cutting, there should also be no crunching sensation; when drying, such workpieces will crack. Cutting well-cooked wood goes like clockwork, but water marks on the fingers form quite quickly, so gloves are very necessary! The margin for scrap must be at least 15% of the required number of beads.

If desired, the bead stumps can be bleached. We bleach without fanaticism; pure white wood loses its strength and is unsuitable for creating jewelry. It is enough to pour undiluted bleach a couple of times for 7-10 hours. Boiled wood bleaches faster and easier than unboiled wood. The photo shows double-bleached blanks, after drying they will become completely white. The dark color comes through due to the transparency of the top bleached layer of wood while it is still wet.

We dry the bead blanks at room temperature, never on a central heating radiator or away from heating devices.

We discard cracked stumps; if the technology is followed, there should be no more than 10% of the total number of blanks. Culling can be used for other creative projects, such as mosaics.

We drill holes with an engraver. Drill no more than 1 mm in diameter. The photo shows a universal tungsten carbide drill bit 0.5 mm. It is easier to drill into damp wood - there is less dust, the drill practically does not wear out, the sawdust does not smoke, and the fingers do not burn. However, in this case, culling will be done from already drilled, dried workpieces. And if the percentage of defects is high, then the work will be done in vain. We remember that the size of the hole will decrease after the workpiece has completely dried, so for wet drilling a drill with a diameter of 1 mm is ideal.

We process the beads with an abrasive sponge on all sides. It is convenient to place small workpieces on a toothpick or wire so that the beads do not jump out of your hands during processing with an abrasive. If you plan to decorate the blanks with a pyrograph, then it is better to postpone processing until later, so as not to do unnecessary work.

One of the finishing options for beads is wax. Can be coated with linseed oil and various varnishes. Coat it well with a brush on all sides without excess, dry it for a couple of hours, polish it with a velvet cloth.

The photo shows the beads before and after waxing:

We decorate the blanks with a pyrograph. We burn the bleached workpieces at a minimum current, if your device has a heating regulator. The pyrograph not only changes the color of the workpieces, but also creates a new texture, depending on the pressure. After decorating with a pyrograph, you can paint the bead with acrylic, then sand it, the paint will remain only in the places where the pen is pressed.

The photo shows unprocessed blanks and already sanded, waxed beads:

Beads decorated with a pyrograph must be treated with an abrasive sponge on all sides. We sand the bleached beads quite a bit, since the wood inside the bead remains dark. Then you can wax, varnish, paint, galvanize. Or you can not cover it with anything, then the beads will exude a pleasant campfire aroma :)

The photo shows the beads before and after abrasive treatment:

This is the resulting wealth:

Aroma beads without any coating with the smell of a fire :)

When to make amulets

A strong talisman is obtained if it is made at the right time:

  • In autumn. At the end of the year, the berries ripen and only ripe ones are suitable for amulets.
  • On a full moon. The full moon is considered a source of magical energy. Since these amulets have significant power, the sidereal calendar cannot be neglected.

Harvesting rowan

The material must be collected correctly. There are several rules:

  • Avoid working with trees growing in noisy places with large crowds of people. They usually have weak energy.
  • You cannot take branches, leaves and berries from a cemetery, swamp, or landfill. If a tree has a crooked trunk with growths, damaged, limp foliage, small berries with signs of disease, its use is unacceptable.
  • Suitable rowan usually grows near water bodies, in open clearings in forests and ravines, where it is sunny, there is a lot of space and it is easy to breathe. Having found it, it is important to first contact mentally, talking about yourself, your life, and the help you need.
  • You can pick as many berries as you need for the amulet; you cannot take any extra. After collecting, be sure to thank the plant.

Note! When approaching plants, you need to listen to your feelings. If an unpleasant feeling appears, you should not linger here.

Talisman of mutual understanding

Sometimes it happens that discord begins in the house, mutual understanding between household members disappears, and feelings become dulled. In this case, a talisman made from rowan berries will help, which helps cleanse the room of negative energy. It can also help neutralize damage to the house.

  1. The amulet is made during the waning moon, which means getting rid of quarrels and misunderstandings.
  2. You should collect a sufficient number of red rowan berries in advance.
  3. Use a needle and thread to make beads. All actions must be performed in a good mood, with enthusiasm, with unquestioning faith that the amulet will work.
  4. It is recommended to hang the beads in the room where the whole family occasionally gathers.

With the help of such rowan beads, you can cleanse your home of negativity in a short time and energetically saturate it with love and warmth. Relations between household members will noticeably improve and become much warmer.

How to use it correctly

Fresh and dry parts of rowan are suitable for magical practice. A special feature of the action is the obligatory demonstration (decoration with homemade brooches, hanging in a visible place, placing the bouquet in the spotlight). The expiration date of the amulets is the seasonal beginning of flowering and ripening of new berries and leaves.

A simple rowan amulet is effective: ordinary beads cleanse the house of harmful energy, protect children and other family members. When working with wood, you need to have a good mood and good intentions. When removing an old amulet, it is important to feel a sense of gratitude.

Features of rowan amulets

The peculiarity of rowan amulets is that they work in stages. The presence of a protective rowan product in the house first, as it were, absorbs information, the atmosphere with which you need to interact. Then rowan, as a talisman for a home or an individual, “filters” the information received and clears existing ailments. For example, if there is a family member in the house who suffers from a chronic disease that cannot be treated, then the rowan amulet gradually drives away the poisonous energy from him.

Attention! A rowan amulet aimed at a specific person should initially be with him for a limited time. First from 10 minutes, then gradually increase the time to an hour.

This rule is noted for the reason that rowan gives the owner a lot of energy. It is likely that a person will not immediately be able to curb the energy received, which is why it is so important to approach the first “acquaintance” with the amulet step by step.
